Gears in Steal a Brainrot are items you can buy from the gear shop using Cash. They help you steal Brainrots from other players or defend your own, though you cannot use them while holding a Brainrot. Some gears are also useful for trolling other players. This guide covers every gear currently available in the gear shop, what it costs, and what it does.

Gears Overview

Gears are a core feature in Steal a Brainrot. You purchase them from the in-game gear shop with Cash, which you earn by stealing Brainrots from other players. Each gear has a specific function, ranging from melee weapons that knock players back to ranged tools that stun or trap enemies.

There are currently 40 obtainable gears in the gear shop. Many gears require a certain number of rebirths before they unlock for purchase. Rebirths are a progression system in the game — the more rebirths you have, the more gears become available to you.

Gears cannot be used while you are holding a Brainrot. This means you must put down any stolen Brainrot before you can equip and use a gear item. This is an important mechanic to remember when planning your steal or defense strategy.

Default Gears

Every player starts with the Bat when they first join Steal a Brainrot. The Bat is a wooden baseball bat gear that lets you hit other players, knocking them down with a small knockback effect. It is your basic melee tool for defending yourself or returning stolen Brainrots.

If you are holding a Brainrot and get hit by a Bat, the Brainrot will return to its initial position in the Base. This makes the Bat useful for recovering your own Brainrot if it gets stolen — you can hit the thief to send the Brainrot back home.

The Bat was formerly known as the Tung Bat, named after Tung Tung Tung Sahur, a Brainrot character that held a wooden bat. The name was changed to Bat after Tung Tung Tung Sahur was removed from the game.

Slap

The Slap costs $500 and requires no rebirths. It is described as "an average hand to slap thieves and send them flying." It serves as a stronger alternative to the default Bat, allowing you to smack thieves and return your Brainrots. It has longer range than the Bat.

Speed Coil

The Speed Coil costs $750 and requires no rebirths. While equipped, it increases your move speed by 50%, from 34 to 51. This is a mobility tool that helps you traverse the map faster.

Coil Combo

The Coil Combo costs $20K and requires 2 rebirths. It provides the effects of the Speed Coil and the Gravity Coil at the same time, giving you both a speed boost and improved jumping.

Rage Table

The Rage Table costs $25K and requires 2 rebirths. When used, a screaming sound plays and a table spawns in front of the player. After a short delay, the table moves in the direction the item was used and travels a short distance. Other players who touch the table will be ragdolled. It has a 4-second cooldown.

Diamond Slap

The Diamond Slap costs $50K and requires 3 rebirths. It is a stronger version of the Gold Slap. The description says "Charge up a diamond slap to knock others away," but this text is misleading — the slap cannot actually be charged.

Grapple Gun

The Grapple Gun costs $75K and requires 3 rebirths. It shoots a grappling hook that pulls the player to the point where the hook collided with an object. This can be used to efficiently reach certain places on the map. It has a 3-second cooldown.

Taser

The Taser costs $100K and requires 3 rebirths. It forces the affected player into ragdoll mode for 3 seconds. This is useful for stopping thieves or disabling defenders. It has a 5-second cooldown.

Emerald Slap

The Emerald Slap costs $200K and requires 4 rebirths. It is a stronger version of the Diamond Slap, sending enemies flying with extra force.

Boogie Bomb

The Boogie Bomb costs $500K and requires 4 rebirths. When touched by another player, it explodes, causing all players in the area of effect to drop any held Brainrots and start dancing. The dance is Fortnite's "Take the L" dance and lasts 10 seconds. Affected players' FOV also constantly changes. It has a 10-second cooldown.

Ruby Slap

The Ruby Slap costs $1M and requires 5 rebirths. It is a stronger version of the Emerald Slap, sending enemies flying far.

Medusa's Head

The Medusa's Head costs $5M and requires 5 rebirths. It turns all other players in the area of effect into stone, making them immobile and unable to use some gears for 3 seconds. Players enter ragdoll mode when the effect ends. It has a 25-second cooldown.

Dark Matter Slap

The Dark Matter Slap costs $1.5M and requires 6 rebirths. It is a stronger version of the Ruby Slap, sending enemies flying with the power of dark matter.

Web Slinger

The Web Slinger costs $2M and requires 6 rebirths. It shoots out a web that tangles hit players. Tangled players are immobile for 10 seconds and can be pulled by you. Players caught in the web cannot use gears. It has a 12-second cooldown.

Flame Slap

The Flame Slap costs $2.5M and requires 7 rebirths. It is a stronger version of the Dark Matter Slap, burning enemies while sending them flying.

Glitched Slap

The Glitched Slap costs $25M and requires 10 rebirths. It is a stronger version of the Galaxy Slap, unleashing chaotic glitches with every step.

Body Swap Potion

The Body Swap Potion costs $50M and requires 10 rebirths. It swaps your position with the affected player and drops any held Brainrot that the player has. It has a 30-second cooldown.

Splatter Slap

The Splatter Slap costs $75M and requires 11 rebirths. It is a stronger version of the Glitch Slap. It splatters the slapped player's screen with paint for a short time.

Beehive

The Beehive costs $300M and requires 13 rebirths. The player can place it on the ground, and it lasts 60 seconds. The player who placed it cannot remove it until it ends. When placed, all nearby enemy players will have bees on their bodies, their controls become inverted, their screen takes on a yellow tint, and their surroundings zoom in. The effect lasts 5 seconds. The hive cannot be destroyed by any player. It has a 60-second cooldown.

Gummy Slap

The Gummy Slap costs $400M and requires 14 rebirths. It is an improved version of the Splatter Slap. It also freezes the hit player inside of a gummy bear for 3 seconds, preventing them from moving or using Gears.

Subspace Mine

The Subspace Mine costs $500M and requires an unconfirmed number of rebirths. They can be placed on the ground, becoming invisible shortly after, though the particles can still be seen. Up to a maximum of 2 mines from the same player can exist at the same time. If the player attempts to place a third one, the one placed earliest will disappear. If another player comes into contact with it when it is fully invisible, the mine explodes in an area. All players affected by the explosion will get a purple aura and have an item unequipped from them.
